Heymat + Caroline Olsson

Heymat's contribution to the exhibition Norway Designs NÅ vol. 4 has been developed in collaboration with product designer Caroline Olsson. The Blåne mat is part of a collection of three mats that Olsson and Heymat are launching in autumn 2017. "Our aim has been to create a collection that fits well into most homes through the choice of motifs and colours. The motifs draw inspiration from the Norwegian landscape, with Mo i Rana as a starting point with the mountains and forest that surround the city," says designer Caroline Olsson. The collection is a tribute to the Norwegian landscape with the rich color palette that changes through the different seasons. The motifs are landscapes seen from a distance and what is very close in nature that one likes to study carefully and marvel at. The mountain has elements of snow, rock and vegetation. The mats represent different seasons: the snowy winter mountains, autumn's orange tones or a lush summer.
