This privacy policy explains how Norway Designs  collects and processes personal data.

Norway Designs, by the general manager, is responsible for our processing of personal data. The general manager has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all processing and handling of personal data takes place in accordance with the applicable legislation. Where the day-to-day responsibility is delegated, this appears under each individual item in this declaration. The delegation only covers the tasks and not the responsibility.

The declaration contains information about your rights when storing personal data through a customer relationship with Norway Designs, and general information about how we process personal data in accordance with current privacy legislation.

Personal information

To make a purchase on norwaydesigns.no , we need your name, address, mobile number and e-mail.
This is necessary to be able to send your order to the correct delivery address, keep you up to date with order movements and contact you if necessary.

We are required to store order information in connection with accounting, tax handling and any warranty/return handling. This history is deleted after ten years. We also store the IP address used when ordering for security reasons.

For different purposes, we may need other personal data. Which personal data and the purpose of this is described here in the privacy policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data that Norway Designs has registered in accordance with current legislation. You can at any time request to receive this information free of charge in accordance with the legislation.

You can also, at any time, ask us to delete or correct your personal data, provided that we are not obliged to keep them in accordance with applicable legislation or other obligations we have.

Information must be disclosed/transmitted in a secure manner. If the data subject submits the request electronically, and unless the data subject requests otherwise, the information must be provided in a normal electronic form.

You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you feel that your personal data is not being processed in accordance with this declaration.

Archiving of personal data

The Accounting Act requires us to store transaction data for 5 years, but in order to safeguard customers' rights in connection with guarantees and complaints in accordance with the Consumer Purchase Act, the Purchase Act and Norway Design's sales conditions, we store purchase history for 10 years.

Protection of personal data

Norway Designs has good routines and comprehensive measures to ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to your personal data, and that the processing of data takes place in accordance with the requirements of current legislation. Examples of such measures are risk assessments, implementation of organizational and physical measures, access management and archiving routines, as well as routines for handling data and following up on requests regarding the right to access, correction and deletion.

Delivery of goods

We use Bring to ship goods, and provide personal information that is necessary for them to be able to deliver the goods to you. The information shared with the carriers is name, address, telephone number and e-mail. According to Section 28 of the Personal Data Act, information that is no longer necessary based on the purpose for which it was stored must be deleted. Posten Norge and Bring store personal data in accordance with the legislation currently in force.

Payment solutions

We use stripe.com , Vipps , Klarna and paypal.com to accept payments.

All systems that process personal data related to the payment of orders are strictly limited to employees who perform necessary tasks related to the order.

For security reasons, we keep a history containing the IP address from which we receive orders. Payment information we create at Norway Designs is: IP address, name, address, e-mail and mobile phone number.

Card payments

Card numbers are not stored beyond what is necessary to ensure efficient handling of any problems with charging, cancellation of reservation and crediting. It is not possible for Norway Designs to see your entire card number in any of our systems after a purchase has been made.

If you choose card as payment method, payment information and card information will be shared with our card payment providers: stripe.com , vipps , klarna and paypal.com , and processed in accordance with to their regulations which are covered by the European regulations on electronic communications.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet, etc.). The cookie is stored in connection with the files used by the device's browser (e.g. Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome etc.). A cookie is completely passive and contains no software, viruses or spyware. There are two types of cookies, service and session cookies. One is stored for a longer period, while the other is deleted as soon as you close the browser. Technically, only the server that sent the cookie has access to the stored information, the next time the user returns to a website associated with the server.

At norwaydesigns.no, we collect anonymised information about visitors for analysis.

By anonymised information we mean information that cannot be traced back to a user or a person. The purpose of this is to collect statistics that can be used to further develop and improve the website. Examples of this type of data are: number of visitors to the site, how the site is used, how long the visit lasts, where the users come from and which browsers are used.

We also collect keywords used via the search engines on the website. This is only to improve search results and the customer experience, and no information is collected that can be traced back to the user.

The processing basis for e-mail marketing is consent.

We want our marketing to be experienced as relevant and valuable to you at all times, so the content will most often be tailored to you. We work with selected partners to achieve a good solution related to marketing in social channels such as Facebook, Instagram and Google.

We and our partners track advertisements to know which advertisements you have seen online and which products you have viewed from us. With this, we can adapt the store to your interests, and show you relevant advertisements at the next opportunity.

The marketing department has the day-to-day responsibility for Norway Design's processing of personal data related to marketing, analysis and personalisation.
