PRODUCTS FOR THE EXHIBITION
SVEIP - Sveip is a wooden serving platter. Sweeping is a craft technique that was widely used in pre-industrial farming society. The technique is used to make round or oval boxes or containers by bending a thin piece of wood. By using aids and techniques such as laser cutting, it opens up opportunities to modernize the expression and challenge the traditional form. Sveip is handmade by Audun Røhnebæk Stikbakke. He is currently working on his Master's in traditional art at the University College in Southeast Norway. The barrel will be shown in several different materials such as ash, oak and maple.
