Apr 11, 2019Julia Kahrs

How about using homemade butterflies as decoration for all spring celebrations?

With these butterflies you can be as creative as you want - just see the proposal where the butterflies easily turn into place cards.

We can proudly present our first guest post from the incredibly cool and clever Vera Ridderseth, who is behind the blog Fold You So!

Now that we're properly approaching spring and brighter summer evenings, we're just as surely approaching the national party season.

Follow the procedure below to make your own butterflies. Further down in the post you will find inspiration for everything you can use your newly acquired skills for.

This is what you need to make paper butterflies:

  • A square sheet of any size

  • A false leg

The butterfly was designed by Akira Yoshisawa, often referred to as the supreme master of modern origami, and is one of the most famous origami butterflies.

If you want more paper inspiration, you can follow creative Vera Ridderseth on the blog Fold You So! and Instagram . You can of course buy the paper in our paper department.
