Marcus Mars is from Jomark in Sweden, but now based in Oslo and Drammen in Norway. His art shows us craftsmanship combined with artistic ideas, creativity and visions of how he can shape unique objects in iron. Each and every piece of art is handmade, with a clean, Nordic look and a strong expression. Marcus Mars wants his artwork to mean something. In the demanding process of forging, he is at one with the glowing steel, while creating new art.
The pure and often symbolic sculptures are a result of the artist's state of mind. He wants the viewer to connect with the artwork, and contribute to interpretation and wonder, which in turn gives the work a new perspective.
