Beautiful glass vase made by designer Ulrica Hydman Vallien ( 1938-2018) for Kosta Boda. The vase is unique

The vase is oval-shaped in very thick clear glass, where the innermost glass layer is in multi-coloured opaque glass. The vase is decorated with stylized enamel figures of people. The figures are encased in a very thick layer of clear glass.

The top and bottom of the vase are ground flat, and the latter has a small circular opening. A worm is ground around the vase.

Kosta Boda is one of the world's leading brands in glassblowing and glass art. Their ovens and glass huts in Småland have been in use since 1742 and today several well-known designers work in their studios around Kosta and in close collaboration with the craftsmen. In close dialogue, they explore and challenge traditional techniques and develop new techniques in the cabins when designs and ideas are to be realised.
