John Gulbrandsrød - Product design
John Gulbrandsrød is known for his design of cutlery, everyday products such as bowls, vases and candlesticks. He is behind a number of jewelery and is particularly recognized for his work in silver and pewter. Despite the fact that Gulbrandsrød was in the middle of the Scandinavian Design style era, he has succeeded in creating a unique Norwegian expression and character. The book brings to the fore products that have previously been little discussed in the literature.
This publication is part of the award-winning book series that pays tribute to Norwegian designers who deserve a rightful place in people's consciousness. Norway has a rich design and craft culture that author Mats Linder has immersed himself in. The books are intended as an introduction to the background history and the designer's selected works.
The book has both Norwegian and English text.
Mats Linder is a writer and author and produces books about Norwegian design at a breakneck pace.
