Washing instructions: Washing is not always necessary, and it is hard on your garment and on the environment. Lama wool is a self-cleaning fiber that requires less washing than other materials. To save resources, simply air the garment for a fresh start.
But if you want to wash the garment, we recommend hand washing, at 30 degrees, with high-quality wool soap such as Eucalan or Sonett. Let the garment soak in water for 10-15 minutes. Rinse in 30 degree water. Avoid wringing, squeezing or squeezing out the water and let the garment dry flat. Steam at medium temperature for a nice finish.
If you have a very gentle washing machine, it is possible to wash the Aiayu garment in the machine on a wool program 30 degrees, low cycle. Washing in a machine is, however, at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee individual program settings on washing machines.
BABY is a soft and incredibly comfortable hat that will keep you warm all winter. Made from thick and airy llama wool, BABY has a reverse knit pattern and a wide ribbed edge that's perfect for folding.
Aiayu - pronounced [ai-ya-yu] - means 'soul' in the indigenous Aymara language of Bolivia. Their label was founded in 2005 by Maria Høgh Heilmann to create products with consideration for the environment, the worker and the user. Fabrics are chosen for their structures and tactile properties, how they feel against the skin. The gentle, natural palette reveals materials and yarns primarily in their natural color without the use of chemical dyes. The garments are made in Bolivia, India and Nepal and are closely linked to their origins and people.
