Aiayu

Albert Cap Blue

Kr 1.370

Alberte is a classic but elevated hat made from luxurious yakull. It has a wide, ribbed border with delicate details on the edges. The ribbed pattern creates an elastic effect that ensures a snug fit.

The yakul of Aiayu is sustainable and obtained from the Green Gold project in Mongolia, a program that works to protect the country's grasslands and the income of the nomadic herders.

Aiayu - pronounced [ai-ya-yu] - means 'soul' in the indigenous Aymara language of Bolivia. Their label was founded in 2005 by Maria Høgh Heilmann to create products with consideration for the environment, the worker and the user. Fabrics are chosen for their structures and tactile properties, how they feel against the skin. The gentle, natural palette reveals materials and yarns primarily in their natural color without the use of chemical dyes. The garments are made in Bolivia, India and Nepal and are closely linked to their origins and people.

  • Material:100% Yakult. Collected in the highlands around Upper Mustang, Tibet. Prepared at Aiayu's workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal.

We recommend hand washing at 30 degrees with a high-quality wool detergent. Soak the product in water for 10-15 minutes. Rinse in 30 degree lukewarm water. Avoid twisting the product and make sure it lies flat when it needs to dry. If you have a washing machine with a gentle programme, it is possible to wash the AIAYU product in the machine. However, this is at your own risk, as AIAYU cannot guarantee the individual wash programs on different washing machines.
