The Arts and Crafts Movement (with William Morris at the forefront) is the English name for a movement, and style, that arose in the 1860s-1870s in England. The movement wanted to restore the qualities of handicraft and was an idealistic counter-reaction to industrialism and its "soulless" factory-made products.
