Maria Jonsson presents Norway Designs NÅ Vol. 5 IDENTITY with a product line in stoneware clay. Convexus is a playful organic shape that, with its convex expression, balances on its own center of gravity. The series is designed to increase the experience and stimulate and activate other senses during meals. The tactile contact with the material through the shape makes the user aware of their own bodily movements.
About Maria Jonsson
Maria Jonsson came to Norway in 1997 and was supposed to stay for six months. 21 years later, she is still there and has taken a master's degree as a visual artist. In 2016, she graduated from the College of Art and Design in Bergen, today the Faculty of Art, Music and Design. She lives in both Oslo and Bergen where she works with relational art in public spaces, sculpture, installations and as a designer.
