Fiore Unikko Scarf
The sheer Fiore scarf is made from 100% certified wool and features the Unikko pattern. The ends of the scarf have an unfinished, raw edge.
Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern Unikko was created in 1964, at a time when the design house’s collections mainly featured abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire series of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
Marimekko is a Finnish design house recognised worldwide for its original prints and colours. Founded in 1951 by visionary Armi Ratia, Marimekko was one of the world’s first true lifestyle brands, combining fashion, bags and accessories, and home interiors with timeless, sustainable and functional design.
At the heart of Marimekko’s design is its own textile printing factory in Helsinki, where its bold patterns and colours come to life. Around one million metres of fabric are printed at the factory each year.
