Marimekko
Marimekko is a Finnish design house founded by Armi Ratia in 1951. With colorful patterns and a playful style, they challenged the strict fashion norms of the time. Their dresses were for women who dared to stand out. The name means "Mari's dress." Over time, Marimekko became more than just clothing—they created an entire lifestyle with textiles, interior decor, and accessories in the same recognizable style. Today, they are known worldwide for their timeless and bold design, produced in their own factory in Helsinki.
