Vase Sleigh Large Stoneware White

Hand-formed vase in white stoneware clay. The vase stands on a sled-shaped stand, hence the name Sled. 

The vase is glazed on the inside, so it is watertight. It may still be a good idea to place felt pads or similar under the vase if you plan to keep it filled with water for an extended period.

 


Karin Amdal is a trained Art Director and holds a Master of Design and Diploma of Ceramic Art. Karin has lived in New Zealand for many years, but her upbringing in Norway has had a great influence on her aesthetic. She works with simple shapes and incorporates sand from both New Zealand and Norway into the objects, to achieve a more subtle tone and texture to the surfaces. Each piece is individually built by hand.
