Poster 50x70cm Akershus Fortress
Print with motif of Akershus Fortress. Printed in a limited edition on 200g matte paper (Munken Polar) and signed by hand. The poster comes without a frame.
Akershus Fortress was begun by King Haakon V around 1299, and already in 1308 it withstood attacks from the Swedish Duke Erik Magnusson.
The original medieval castle with four towers and two courtyards remained largely unchanged until Christian II upgraded the building at the beginning of the 16th century. During the Danish period towards the end of the same century, Akershus Fortress was significantly altered and converted into a Renaissance castle.
