Tias Eckhoff (1926-2016) was one of Norway's most versatile designers. He helped make Scandinavian design a term, as well as being a pioneer in industrial design. His production was not that large, but in return several of the products have become design classics. In 1964, Tias Eckhoff received a design award for the coffee pot 941. The coffee pot was only produced for a few years before the modern coffee maker outcompeted the brewed coffee.
