Even if they use a material that is perceived as cold and hard, the products have something sensitive and emotional about them.

They want to create products that last a long time and are timeless. Everything they make is produced in Finland with Finnish raw materials.

The inspiration for the products they create can come from many things, sometimes as simple as a piece of metal on the floor, sometimes music, sometimes
times from a particular type of technology.

Latimeria studio was founded in 1994, is run by Juha Luukkonen and is based in Askola, southern Finland.
