Historiske 250 Bracelet
This bracelet from Juhls Sølvsmie consists of three thin bands – two smooth and one twisted – held together by a silver ring with a small komsekule charm. The bracelet looks beautiful on its own or combined with other jewelry.
The komsekule has a long history and is closely connected to Sámi culture. Traditionally, it was used as a protective amulet against illness and evil forces. In Sámi tradition, the komsekule was attached to a komse, a traditional cradle, to protect newborn babies.
Today, the komsekule is worn as jewelry and remains a popular christening gift for both boys and girls.
Juhls Sølvsmie has been based in Kautokeino on the Finnmark Plateau since 1959 and was the first silver jewelry workshop in Finnmark.
