The Primula vase was designed by Holmegaard's first designer and creative director Jacob E. Bang .

The vase fits well alone or in combination with the other vases in the same series.

Holmegaard Glasværk's history began in 1823 when Lensgrave Christian Danneskiold-Samsøe applied to build a glassworks in Holmegaard Mose. The Count died before the application was granted and his widow Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe decided to continue her late husband's project. In 1825, the beginning of a long and proud production of mouth-blown glass in Denmark began. Today, many of Denmark's best artists and designers are associated with glass production in Holmegaard.
