The AB 2 clock was designed in 1984 by Dieter Rams. The clean, simple dial and contrasting hands provide good readability. The iconic yellow seconds hand is synonymous with Braun's award-winning design history and long-lasting aesthetics. The alarm clock has a snooze and light function, as well as an alarm that increases in volume. The BC22 has a quartz movement that ensures the clock runs quietly and precisely.

As with all Braun products, emphasis has been placed on prioritizing ease of use and functionality. The discreet backlight aids readability, making it easy to see the time in the dark. This feature can also be disabled by the user.
