The Tote M shoulder bag from Marimekko is made of recycled polyester with a jacquard-knit Unikko pattern. The bag has handles and an adjustable shoulder strap and closes with a zipper. The inside is lined and has a small slip-in pocket. A Marimekko keyring hangs on the front of the bag. The bag has details in recycled leather.

Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern, Unikko, was created in 1964, at a time when the design house’s collections mainly featured abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from the organic theme and designed a whole series of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.


Marimekko is a Finnish design house that is recognized worldwide for its original prints and colors. Founded in 1951 by the visionary Armi Ratia, Marimekko is one of the world's first true lifestyle brands that combines fashion, bags and accessories as well as interiors in a timeless, sustainable and functional design. The heart and soul of Marimekko's designs is their own textile factory in Helsinki, where the bold patterns and colors come to life. Around one million meters of fabric are printed at the factory each year.
