The flower-shaped Unikko bath mat is made from soft cotton terry.

Marimekko’s famous Unikko poppy pattern was created in 1964, at a time when the design house’s collections mainly featured abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire series of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.

Marimekko is a Finnish design house recognised worldwide for its original prints and colours. Founded in 1951 by the visionary Armi Ratia, Marimekko was one of the world’s first true lifestyle brands, combining fashion, bags and accessories with home interiors in timeless, sustainable and functional designs.

At the heart of Marimekko’s design is its own textile printing factory in Helsinki, where the bold patterns and colours come to life. Around one million metres of fabric are printed at the factory each year.
