Blåsnipe Napkin 43x45cm
Napkin in 100% cotton. The Blåsnipe pattern was designed by Gunnvor Een Sture sometime in the 1950s. The design was never commercially produced, but has survived in the form of a tablecloth in the family's possession. The original motif has an imperfect and hand-drawn expression, which was continued in the new production of the textile.
The print shows a pair of snipes surrounded by vegetation, symmetrically arranged in a strong blue on a light gray background. The motif draws inspiration from folk art and has a vibrant and classic expression. Blåsnipe is available as tablecloths, napkins and tea towels and is suitable for all events of the year and everyday gatherings, year after year.
Sture Design holds the design rights to Alf Sture and Gunnvor Een Sture. In 2021, their grandchildren took over the responsibility of managing Sture Design, with the goal of preserving and further developing the design work of Alf Sture and Gunnvor Een Sture, as well as promoting the cultural heritage they represent.
