The Àkantha platter is inspired by the acanthus flower and traditional Norwegian butter moulds with organic woodcarving. Its minimalist form contrasts with and highlights the ornamentation on the inside.

Kathrine Hovind is a designer and interior stylist based in Oslo. She holds a bachelor's degree in Retail Design and a master's degree in Product Design, and now works as both a stylist and a designer. In her furniture design work, Kathrine combines contemporary production techniques and modern design with traditional craftsmanship, aiming to preserve Norwegian craft traditions that are at risk of disappearing.
