Porcelain Jug Norwegian Sand 2 Spouts

A hand-thrown jug in Japanese porcelain, made with sand from different Norwegian beaches. The jug has two spouts, giving it a beautiful, organic shape. Finished with a transparent glaze on the inside, it works equally well as a milk jug or a small vase.

Karin Amdal has a background in art direction and holds a Master of Design and a Diploma of Ceramic Art. Having lived in New Zealand for many years, her Norwegian upbringing continues to have a strong influence on her aesthetic.

She works with simple forms, incorporating sand from both New Zealand and Norway into her pieces to create subtle variations in tone and surface texture. Each piece is made by hand.
