This is still considered one of the greatest climbing feats in Norway, and the so-called Slingsby route is challenging for climbers to this day. The Skagastølstindane in Jotunheimen is the westernmost part of the Styggedals- and Skagastølsryggen, Norway's highest mountain ridge, and has no fewer than five peaks that scrape the clouds more than 2100 meters above sea level. In addition to Storen, Vetle Skagastølstind (2340 m.), Midtre Skagastølstind (2284 m.), Skagastølsnebbet (2222 m.) and Nordre Skagastølstind (2167 m.) are in the exclusive club.
