Nunatak Candlestick Black
Nunatak is a four-armed candlestick made from black cast iron, designed by the Norwegian design duo Anderssen & Voll. When all four candles are lit, the candlestick creates a sculptural silhouette inspired by both architecture and nature.
Its shape resembles a city skyline or a cluster of buildings, while also evoking antlers and geological formations. The name Nunatak refers to a mountain peak or ridge that rises above an ice sheet.
The candlestick also serves as a sculptural decorative object on a table, even when the candles are not lit.
Nedre Foss was founded by the design duo Anderssen & Voll in 2009. At the heart of Nedre Foss' design philosophy is the concept of the "Century Product" and what they refer to as functional sculpture.
This means creating objects designed to last for at least 100 years, where sculptural qualities and practical functionality are equally important.
Quality and longevity are naturally essential elements of Nedre Foss' product development process.
