Rabarbra Vase
Rabarbra is a flower vase in through-colored glass, designed by Norwegian designers Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll.
The vase consists of two elements in contrasting colors – shaped individually and then fused together while the glass is still hot, so that they form a seamless whole.
The vase has a strict and architectural expression, but at the same time an organic feel. It is reminiscent of a flower, where the upper, flat disc rests on the lower part like petals on a stem.
An object with a strong character that works equally well as a vase or sculpture.
Nedre Foss was started by the design duo Anderssen & Voll in 2009. The core of Nedre Foss' design is the term "Century Product" and what they refer to as utility sculpture. By this is meant objects that will serve you for at least 100 years, and where the sculptural properties on the one hand and the aspect of use on the other are equal parts of the function. It may not need to be mentioned that quality and longevity also play a large role in product development for Nedre Foss.
