Ukiyo is a handmade stoneware vase that works equally well as a beautiful sculpture or a vase.

The process of building the vase is time-consuming; the clay requires the vase to be built and dried over several days before it can be built upon again.

Ukiyo is a Japanese term meaning "the floating world." It originally refers to a philosophy of living in the present moment, detaching oneself from life's worries, and embracing beauty.

Each vase is a unique piece.

Marthine Fredrikke Spinnangr graduated with a bachelor's in product design from Oslo Metropolitan University, and a bachelor's in business administration from the University of San Francisco. The objects are often inspired by nature's own design language and are at the intersection between art and design.
