Ukiyo Vase Green

Kr 6.000

Ukiyo is a large, hand-built stoneware vase that functions equally well as a beautiful sculpture or as a vase.

The process of building the vase is time-consuming; the clay requires the vase to be built and dried over several days before it can be built upon again.

Ukiyo is a Japanese term meaning "the floating world." It originally refers to a philosophy of living in the moment and detaching oneself from life's worries to embrace beauty.

The vase is a unique piece.

The vase has some cracks on the underside that have been reinforced. It is sealed on the inside and can be used with water.

Marthine Fredrikke Spinnangr graduated with a bachelor's in product design from Oslo Metropolitan University, and a bachelor's in business administration from the University of San Francisco. The objects are often inspired by nature's own design language and are at the intersection between art and design.
