Filos Blanket

Filos is a soft and lightweight wool blanket, perfect for a cool summer evening or for keeping warm by the fireplace. Drape it over your shoulders or wrap yourself in it when you need a little extra warmth.

The pattern is inspired by traditional Scottish tartan. The six colourways are woven on the same striped warp, creating a distinctive checked pattern.

Where the woven threads cross, subtle blends of colour emerge, moving harmoniously from light to dark. The appearance of the blanket changes depending on how it is folded, allowing different colours and parts of the pattern to come forward.

With roots dating back to the 18th century, Røros Tweed has a long tradition of working with Norwegian wool and textile production. The factory in Røros, located 600 metres above sea level, opened in 1952. Before then, much of the production took place in the homes of local craftspeople.

Over the years, Røros Tweed has continued to explore the qualities of Norwegian wool, creating textiles where quality, function and thoughtful design are central. Through collaborations with Norwegian designers, they combine contemporary expressions with the distinctive aesthetic and cultural heritage of Røros.

Remember that wool can be aired several times before it needs washing. Stains can be removed with a little water and mild soap. When washing the blanket, hand wash at 30°C using a mild detergent. Gently press out excess water and leave the blanket to dry flat. Always follow the care instructions on the product.
