An elegant, square scarf made from fine silk and handwoven on traditional Nepalese looms. Each scarf is unique and bears the distinctive character of the artisan who wove it. Designed with the Aiayu logo and a playful colour combination in seasonal shades.

Aiayu – pronounced [ai-ya-yu] – means ‘soul’ in Aymara, an indigenous language of Bolivia. The label was founded in 2005 by Maria Høgh Heilmann with the aim of creating products with consideration for the environment, the people who make them and those who wear them.

Fabrics are selected for their texture and tactile qualities, with particular attention to how they feel against the skin. The soft, natural colour palette allows the materials and yarns to take centre stage, often in their natural shades without the use of chemical dyes.

The garments are made in Bolivia, India and Nepal and are closely connected to their origins and the people who produce them.
