Aiayu

Mini Champetra Toiletry Bag

Kr 590

A small and practical toiletry bag from Aiayu, made from soft organic cotton with a blue stripe woven into the fabric. It features a cotton pull tab on the zipper for easy opening and a lining for added durability.

The compact size is ideal for storing smaller toiletries and makeup.

A larger version in the same pattern is also available.

The cotton is grown and harvested by a cooperative of small-scale farmers in India, supporting organic farming practices and more stable incomes. It is cultivated without synthetic pesticides or genetically modified seeds, primarily using rainwater for irrigation.

Aiayu – pronounced [ai-ya-yu] – means ‘soul’ in Aymara, an Indigenous language spoken in Bolivia. The brand was founded in 2005 by Maria Høgh Heilmann with the aim of creating products with care for the environment, the people who make them and those who use them.

Fabrics are carefully selected for their textures and tactile qualities, with an emphasis on how they feel against the skin. The soft, natural colour palette highlights the materials and yarns, often in their original shades without the use of chemical dyes.

Aiayu's garments are made in Bolivia, India and Nepal, with a close connection to the places and people behind their production.
