Inspired by the authentic archipelago life of Möja and the island’s long traditions, the Möja towel features the same distinctive pattern as the bathrobe.

The towel is made from organic cotton velour, with a velvety-soft surface and soft terry on the reverse. Its beautiful colours are inspired by the nature and atmosphere of the archipelago.

Pelle Vävare was founded by Per-Olof Almqvist (born 1934), who grew up in Borås – the heart of Sweden’s textile industry. After several years in the industry, he launched his own collection of upholstery fabrics, which quickly became a success.

The major breakthrough came when he took over a textile factory in Kinnahult and introduced an entirely new terry fabric to the Swedish market – soft, lustrous and with a velvety feel that set a new standard for quality. It was launched under the name Pelle Vävare.

Today, the distinctive terry fabric remains at the heart of the brand and is used in both bathrobes and towels. The company is now led by Lisa Basilius, with a clear ambition to carry on its heritage of uncompromising quality and exceptional textile feel.
