Kapp Candlestick
Kapp is a series of candlesticks in glazed stoneware, designed by the Norwegian duo Noidoi (Kathrine Lønstad and Cosmin Cioroiu). The series is inspired by the old brick buildings at Kapp milk factory, where Noidoi previously had their studio. The buildings were a hub for innovation, and the production of condensed milk originated here in the early 1900s.
The Kapp candlestick combines functionality with a strong design expression, working equally well as a decorative sculpture as it does a practical candlestick. It is 17.8 cm high.
Noidoi is a Norwegian design studio founded by Kathrine Lønstad and Cosmin Cioroiu, known for uniting Scandinavian minimalism with genuine craftsmanship and playful innovation. The studio is based in Norway but draws inspiration from both Nordic nature and industrial processes – a combination that gives their products a distinctive, honest, and poetic expression. At Noidoi, function and form are in balance, with products that are both beautiful to look at and pleasant to use. Each design reflects care for materials, texture, and craftsmanship, and many of the objects are handmade or mouth-blown – making each item unique.
