With origins dating back to the 18th century, Røros Tweed makes fantastic quality woolen blankets in the factory located 600 meters above sea level. The large factory started up in 1952 and before that many of the products were made at home by the residents of Røros. Since then, Røros Tweed has experimented with Norwegian wool and developed textile products of high quality and good design. They have collaborated with several Norwegian designers to create a modern design that continues to be inspired by Røro's aesthetic and cultural heritage. Røros Tweed is one of the few Norwegian design brands that has all its production in Norway, and which also uses only Norwegian raw material - Norwegian wool.

Med aner fra 1700-tallet lager Røros Tweed ullpledd i fantastisk kvalitet i fabrikken som ligger 600 meter over havet. Den store fabrikken startet opp i 1952 og før det ble mye av produktene laget hjemme hos innbyggerne i Røros. Siden den tid har Røros Tweed eksperimentert med norsk ull og utviklet tekstilprodukter i høy kvalitet og god design. De har samarbeidet med flere norske formgivere for å skape en moderne design som fortsetter å inspireres av Røros estetiske og kulturelle arv.
