The Provence bowl is Per Lütken's masterpiece for Holmegaard designed in 1955. A design classic that suits fruit, serving or as a piece of glass art on the table.
Holmegaard Glasværk's history began in 1823 when Lensgrave Christian Danneskiold-Samsøe applied to build a glassworks in Holmegaard Mose. The Count dies before the application is granted and his widow Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe decides to continue her late husband's project. In 1825, production begins, the beginning of a long and proud production of mouth-blown glass in Denmark. Today, many of Denmark's best artists and designers are associated with glass production in Holmegaard.
