Sealing wax 3pcs Platinum

Kr 160

Platinum colored wax stick that can be melted with a wax spoon. It can also be used in a low temperature glue gun! The package contains 3 sticks and these make around 8-10 wax seals per stick. Each stick has a diameter of 11mm and a length of 14cm.

How to make a seal:

Cut off about 2 cm of the wax stick and place it in a wax spoon. Then hold the spoon over the flame of a candle until all the wax has melted into the spoon. Then pour the wax over the envelope or document to be sealed. The amount of wax you pour out should have a diameter slightly smaller than your stamp. Then make an impression in the wax with a stamp. Let the stamp rest for about 30 seconds before removing the stamp so that the wax has time to harden.

If you notice that the stamp is difficult to remove from the wax, you can lubricate your stamp with a little oil. Neutral cooking oil also works just fine. If you are going to make many seals in a row, the stamp also tends to get hot. Then the stamp will also be a little more difficult to remove from the wax. So a tip is to put an ice cube inside a dry cloth that you then use to place the stamp on while you melt the wax. This will cool the stamp down a little until the next time you are going to make an impression.

If you are unfortunate enough to have the wax stick to the piston, just try to remove the wax carefully. Then lubricate it well with oil before using it again.
