Kr 870

Serving platter from the Oiva tableware with the pattern Tomina.

The pattern Tomina is named after a small village in Portugal the artist has visited. She has used hourglass motifs in a number of her works.

Simple things are the overarching theme of Barcelona-based German artist Sabine Finkenauer's art. The forms that appear in her work represent an artistic journey from the figurative to the abstract, while also evoking memories of familiar, everyday forms. Known for her geometrically precise and rhythmic form, she uses a variety of different techniques for her exquisite and colorful works. She has created a range of everyday products from Marimekko's iconic collection, all decorated with her beautiful patterns.

Marimekko is a Finnish design house that is recognized worldwide for its original prints and colors. Founded in 1951 by the visionary Armi Ratia, Marimekko is one of the world's first true lifestyle brands that combines fashion, bags and accessories as well as interiors in a timeless, sustainable and functional design. The heart and soul of Marimekko's designs is their own textile factory in Helsinki, where the bold patterns and colors come to life. Around one million meters of fabric are printed at the factory each year.
